Ask a Witch

As part of the Coven of the Veiled Moon, our mission is rooted in connection, curiosity, and the open sharing of wisdom. Ask-a-Witch is a space where seekers, practitioners, and the simply curious may reach out to our coven for guidance, discussion, and perspective.

We welcome questions on a wide range of magical and spiritual topics, including:
• Insight or advice on a spell, charm, or ritual in progress
• Direction or refinement in spellcraft and ritual design
• Guidance on correspondences, symbolism, or timing
• Help with basic research or resource recommendations from our library of materials
• Broader questions about magical theory, ethics, and practice

Our responses draw from collective experience and study—traditions both historical and modern, folkloric and ceremonial, intuitive and experimental. We can offer advice, perspectives, and suggestions to support your own craft.

Every question is read by a member of our coven, and responses are crafted with care. Please allow time for us to reply; we are a volunteer-run group of practioners.

Questions We’re Often Asked

Will my question be private?

Yes. Your question remains within our coven and is only shared with members who are directly involved in responding or supporting the work. We treat every message with confidentiality, discernment, and care. Nothing is ever used for entertainment, gossip, or exploitation.

Do you do readings or only general guidance?

Both. Most questions receive intuitive or experiential guidance, but if your situation calls for a formal reading, we can offer that as well. Readings are a separate process, and you can request one here:

Can I ask about someone else?

Yes. Many questions involve relationships, family, conflict, or shared energy. We don’t forbid speaking about others, though we always approach those situations ethically and with the goal of clarity, not control.

Do you charge for answers?

No. We are a nonprofit and do not charge for guidance. This is part of our spiritual service and community practice.

Do you do every request?

We read every message, but we cannot guarantee that we can take on every situation. We are volunteers and a private coven, and our capacity changes depending on energy, timing, and the nature of the question. We deliberate together and respond to the requests we are genuinely able to help with. When possible, we will let you know whether we’re able to assist, offer direction, or point you to next steps.
