My Cousin’s Coven is a practitioner-led home for modern witchcraft and Pagan spirituality, bringing together the work of a living coven with a growing reference library, practical resources, community services, and independent editorial writing. Across the site, we share material drawn from research, tradition, lived magical practice, and the experience of working witches. Our purpose is not simply to describe the Craft from the outside, but to explore it as people who actively practice it.
At the center of our work is a commitment to serious, research-minded exploration carried out with compassion, curiosity, and experience. We value pluralism and recognize that Paganism, witchcraft, magic, and spiritual experience encompass many paths, traditions, deities, spirits, and ways of understanding. While our own practice is Pagan and exists outside monotheistic frameworks, we respect wisdom found across religious and philosophical traditions. MCC approaches the unseen with openness to mystery, respect for difference, and a willingness to examine both tradition and experience thoughtfully.

My Cousin’s Coven is the public-facing work of the Coven of the Veiled Moon, a living Pagan coven devoted to spiritual cultivation and the ethical, intentional practice of magic. Founded by cousins Kael and Roen the Coven has grown organically around shared practice, study, ritual, and spiritual fellowship. What began as a small circle has continued to develop into a living tradition shaped by both inherited influences and the experience of its practitioners.
Our coven now spans the United States and Europe. Our cultural roots lean toward Northern European traditions, reflecting some of our geographic and familial heritage, but our practice is deliberately syncretic and draws from a wider Pagan, witchcraft, and esoteric landscape. We are Pagan in religious orientation and recognize creation as containing both luminous and shadowed forces whose relationship, tension, and balance are part of the mystery through which we understand magic.
All members of the Coven are practicing witches, though individual members do not necessarily approach every spiritual question in precisely the same way. We share a broadly Pagan foundation while allowing room for different deities, traditions, methods, and personal relationships with the sacred. We also recognize wisdom in religious and philosophical traditions outside Paganism without treating those traditions as interchangeable with our own.
Participation in MCC’s wider community is not limited to people who share every element of our theology. Practitioners and seekers from other paths are welcome where there is mutual respect. Discrimination, harassment, coercion, and theological absolutism are contrary to the kind of community we intend to maintain.
We seek to awaken the sacred within ordinary life and to participate in the continuing life of the Craft rather than merely preserve it as history. Through fellowship, devotion, study, ritual, service, and practice, the Coven of the Veiled Moon carries its traditions forward while allowing them to remain living things—capable of responding to the world in which we actually live.
